“I love Rafe Esquith's books Teach Like Your Hair's On Fire and There Are No Shortcuts. Both are books that will not only give you good ideas, but they will also inspire you to be the best teacher you can be.”

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, a 2003 novel by British writer Mark Haddon, is a quick but engrossing read about life through the eyes of a 15 year old boy with Asperger’s disorder. I have a boy with Asperger’s in my second grade class, and it gave me an idea of what the world might look like from his point of view. This is a fascinating book!”

"The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer is an excellent book for teachers. It reminds us why we put up with all the stuff and nonsense of the modern classroom and why we became teachers. It's a good thing to have handy when you’ve had a day with that difficult group of kids.”

Total Teaching by Dr. Tom Staszewski is a must read for all teachers whether you are a veteran or a recently hired educator. Dr. Staszewski's book is a unique look at the teaching profession and can be used as a guideline to life itself. I have never met someone who is more pro-education than Dr. Staszewski. This book will be an inspiration to all who read it! I highly recommend this book.”
