Show your support for educators working through the COVID-19 crisis.

The coronavirus may have closed school buildings and campuses, but it didn’t stop educators from working to ensure their students learn, cope, and even get fed. It has revealed how critical public schools and educators are to our students, communities and country.

If you believe in the power of public schools to create opportunity for all students, add your name to show your support here

We’ll let you know what you can do to help our nation’s students and educators get through the coronavirus and its aftermath.

Provide Personal Protective Equipment for Educators

Education support professionals and educators who remain in direct contact with students and the community during this pandemic urgently need personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep everyone safe. Congress should include an additional $56 million in funding for PPE for these workers in its next COVID-19 package. Learn more, here

Year-Round Organizing Digital Learning Series

Just as COVID-19 has upended our society, this pandemic also offers us some new challenges as well as new opportunities as we explore alternatives to face-to-face engagement and recruitment. In an effort to embrace the OPPORTUNITY side of this conundrum, the NEA Centers for Organizing, Office of General Counsel, Great Public Schools, Communications, and Enterprise Data Information Systems will host a series of webinars from mid-May through June focusing on key organizing tactics.
