NEA President: Hillary shines again, hands Trump third debate loss in a row

Eskelsen García: Clinton and supporters to focus on path to victory in November

WASHINGTON - October 19, 2016 -

NEA President Lily Eskelsen García declared Hillary Clinton the clear winner in tonight’s third and last presidential debate. Trump lost his third debate in a row.

The following statement can be attributed to NEA President Lily Eskelsen García:

“For three debates now, Hillary Clinton has unquestionably proved that she is the only candidate prepared and qualified to be president. Not rattled by Trump’s constant bully antics, sideshows, and mudslinging, Clinton stuck to what her campaign has been about since the start: articulating a clear vision to unite Americans, and providing a firm, steady hand as our next commander in chief.

“Over the course of the campaign, Donald Trump consistently has demonstrated how transparently unqualified and temperamentally unfit he is to run this country. Tonight was no exception. He tripled down on more lies, reckless comments and viewpoints of women and dangerous, false charges about a rigged election. Trump continued his nosedive towards rock bottom. He’s becoming more unhinged by the day. In his quest to appeal to the lowest common denominator, Trump is endangering our Democracy and nation.

“That’s not the America Hillary envisions. America is a place for everyone, where we lift each other up. Our children deserve that. She knows that we are a stronger country when we stand together as a nation. That’s why we will focus like a laser beam on a path to victory during the rest of the campaign.”
