The NEA Foundation's Innovation Grants provide an opportunity for teachers, education support professionals, and higher education faculty to develop and implement innovations that significantly improve student learning. Eligible applicants may submit a proposal at any time.

Having a healthy and nutritious school meal is the right of every student. ESP are on the frontline in helping to address this issue that is threatening the life expectancy of our nation's youth. Various grants are available to aid you in this journey of change.

Professional Development

NEA ESP Conference
This conference is designed to provide participants with professional development opportunities that elevate the careers of educations support professionals by providing them with the tools they need to: build skills specific to their careers, build strong internal and external relationships, build stronger locals, organize members, and enhance NEA ESP members' ability to positively influence student achievement.

Online Resources

Education Support Professionals: Meeting the Needs of the Whole Student
ESP are critical members of the education workforce and ensure student success from pre-school through college. They have a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion and play critical roles in the school community.

Through the eyes of a middle school student named Sofi, the video animation Education Support Professionals: Meeting the Needs of the Whole Student, demonstrates how Education Support Professionals (ESP) make a difference in the lives of their students, both in and out of the classroom.

ESP E-mail List
The ESP List is an E-mail discussion list (a "listserv") open to all NEA members and staff. List members use the list to talk about issues that concern education support professionals within the NEA, such as contracting out, bargaining problems, training needs, and questions about how improve and strengthen the Association.

Legislative Action Center
NEA's Legislative Action Center (LAC) provides you with the latest information on pending legislation and NEA priorities, as well as the tools to connect with your elected representatives. Use the LAC to send e-mail messages to your congressional delegation and state legislators. Don't miss your chance to speak out for children and public education. 


ESP Bullying Perspectives Research
Education support professionals are among the first line of defense in the fight against school bullying. The National Education Association (NEA) has a long history of involvement in bullying prevention efforts.
